Joan Beron has worked in the area of disability for over 20 years. Immediately prior to this position, Joan was a Learning Specialist in Mount Ida’s Student Achievement Program providing services and support to students that requested extra support and students with disabilities. Joan has also represented students with disabilities in legal matters, was a Hearing Officer for the Massachusetts Bureau of Special Education Appeals and had worked in the public school system as a speech therapist.
Joan’s professional interests include the transition from high school to college for students with disabilities and universal design for instruction.
