Individuals are always able to report their experience or concerns to a confidential resource (listed under Resources) who have legally recognized privilege that restricts their ability to disclose any information provided to them without the client’s permission. Making a disclosure to a confidential resource means that the College will not be notified of the incident. Without that information, the College will not be respond to that incident in any manner. However, confidential on-campus resources can assist individuals in receiving support resources when requested and provide information about non-confidential reporting options (noted below).
Please note that, in addition to the reporting options listed here, individuals are also able to report to any employee of Mount Ida College. Those reports will serve a notice to the College since employees – including faculty, staff and student employees – are considered Responsible Employees who have a duty to report any information disclosed to them to the Director of Equity Compliance, Sonia Jurado at 617-928-4024. Only employees in the Center for Wellness Services who have legal confidentiality are not required to report. If an individual in interested in notifying the College of their experience or concerns, there are several reporting options available.
Mount Ida College provides employees and students with various options for reporting Sexual Misconduct, including sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking, Discrimination and Harassment. Members of the College community are encouraged to come forward with information regarding violations of College policy to any of the reporting options listed below or can report online (which has an anonymous reporting option).

Mount Ida Campus Police
Call with concerns about your safety or well-being. Campus police conducts investigations into behavior that maybe criminal. Calling Campus Police does not require you to file or pursue criminal charges. They can provide transportation to the hospital/court (or can provide cab vouchers), can access safe housing, issue no trespass orders and provide information about restraining orders and other orders of protections.
Director of Equity Compliance
Responsible for assisting students, faculty and staff with issues of discrimination, harassment, sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking. Can receive report and provide information regarding support resources, including no contact orders, housing changes and academic support. The Office can also provide information about what options may be available for taking action, including internal disciplinary procedures and criminal action.
Contact a Compliance Officer
These officers include faculty and staff who have been trained regarding issues of sexual misconduct. They are available to intake reports from student, staff and faculty regarding issues of discrimination, harassment, sexual assault relationship violence and stalking. They can provide information about support resources and the options for taking action, including internal disciplinary procedures and criminal action.
