The Career Center

Faculty and Staff

The Career Center staff is prepared to enhance your classroom experience from assisting students in finding internships and jobs and presenting an array of workshops for your students.

Faculty and Staff may:

  • Request a Career Workshop or Presentation tailored towards your discipline
  • Refer a student to the Career Center
  • Refer an employer to the Career Center.
  • Collaborate with the Career Center on an academic specific program or event

Class Presentations:

The staff can present to your students on a variety of topics related to career exploration, internship and job search and professional development.  We will work with you to tailor a program to your academic discipline.

Refer a student

Faculty and staff often refer students directly to the career center. Coaches meet with students individually for single or ongoing appointments to discuss career-related concerns. Topics include but are not limited to, clarifying skills and interests, job search questions/concerns, graduate school planning. Individuals can also discuss major/career related stress, family concerns, questions about discrimination in the job search/ internship workplace, and financial concerns.

Refer an Employer:

The Career Center works closely with local, regional and national employers to recruit talent and develop partnerships. The Career center offers a variety of programs for employers:

  • Free job and internship postings
  • Free recruiting or information tables to connect with students
  • On-campus recruiting ans presentation opportunities
  • Site visits for students
