Minors Can Broaden Your Academic Experience

Required: 18 credits

Students must complete six courses (18 credits) for the Psychology Minor. A minimum grade of C- or higher is required in program-specific courses (courses with the designation of PS) in this minor.

  • PS 101 – Introduction to Psychology 3 credits

  • PS 225 – Social Psychology 3 credits
  • PS 241 – Biological Basis of Behavior 3 credits
  • PS 231 – Cognitive Psychology 3 credits
  • PS 315 – Theories of Personality 3 credits
  • PS 301 – Abnormal Psychology 3 credits
  • PS 336 – Research Methods I 3 credits

Choose two (2) from the following: (6 credits)

  • PS 132 – Psychology of Health and Illness 3 credits
  • PS 213 – Psychology of Women 3 credits
  • PS 220 – Adult Development and Aging 3 credits
  • PS 226 – Adolescence 3 credits
  • PS 233 – Educational Psychology 3 credits
  • PS 234 – Psychology and the Law 3 credits
  • PS 235 – Organizational Psychology 3 credits
  • PS 236 – Cross-Cultural Psychology 3 credits
  • PS 302 – Forensic Psychology
  • PS 338 – Principles of Learning 3 credits
  • PS 339 – History and Systems of Psychology 3 credits
  • PS 360 – Theories and Techniques in Counseling 3 credits
