Courses for Dental Hygienists – Overview

The Mount Ida Dental Hygiene Department and Office of Continuing Education invite you and your dental hygiene colleagues to our campus and state-of-the-art Dental Hygiene Clinic where you can take up to two continuing education courses in one day, earning up to eight Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Course offerings combine in-depth discussions, engaging faculty interaction and hands-on work, helping participants to learn the essential skills required for successful completion of the program. We invite you to review our course selections and to register today.
A buffet lunch in the campus Dining Commons is included for participants who register for two courses. Price is $10 if you register for one course and want to join us for lunch. Plenty of free parking is available adjacent to the Academic Technology Center and Dental Clinic building (#12 on campus map), where all four classes will take place.

The course selection for the day was designed with your professional needs in mind. Depending on the course(s) you choose, you may earn credits in the following:
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Local Anesthesia Hands-On Injection Technique Review – 4 CEUs – $495. Must already have a Permit L, be a Registered Dental Hygienist, and have active CPR
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Infection Prevention and Control – 3 CEUs – $30
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Portable Dental Hygiene: Public Health – 2 CEUs – $50
1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Digital Radiology Techniques – 4 CEUs – $150
