Student-Athletes Make the Grade

The Mount Ida College Department of Athletics has named 112 Mustang student-athletes to its inaugural Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2017 semester, in recognition of their performance in the classroom. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must achieve a minimum 3.33 grade point average for the recently completed semester. A dozen Mount Ida standouts posted a perfect 4.00 GPA during the fall semester, and the total list represents one-third of the entire Mustang student-athlete population.

“Intercollegiate athletics instill so many important values that contribute to the overall success of students—I want to congratulate all of our student-athletes for earning this tremendous recognition,” Executive Director of Athletics Matt Burke said of this fall’s honorees. “Their selection is a tribute to their hard work and dedication in attaining excellence in all facets of their college experience.”
